"Show us, show us the ogre's body, the shattered orb, the jewel and the broken bracelet," the first dragon asked Misty. The ogre's minions, who were like sitting ducks hiding behind their shields, started to lower their defenses. Before Misty could take a step, the captain of the king's army stepped forward, addressing the large crowd. "Stop right there. By the authority of his royal majesty, we demand the release of her royal highness, Queen Olivia." Queen Olivia stepped forward, "Right here, Captain. As you can see, I was never help captive to begin with." "We are under orders, by the king to rescue you and to arrest your captors, Lady Rebecca and her daughter Jeanette." "Has my husband gone insane? As your queen, I here by resend that order." The captain bowed, "With all due respect, your highness; the king's authority supersedes your own in this matter. I have to bring them in, but once the king hears from you, he will release the suspects." Something didn't sit right with the queen. Why the ogre's castle? Why now, and... why is the court jester here of all places? "Captain," the queen began, "could you and a couple of your officers follow me?" The queen and a few officers approached Lady Rebecca and her family as Misty began to lead the dragons through the castle she sees Jeanette handing her sword over to Queen Olivia. |
